The Research Network for the Social Economy in Ireland

SERNI is a research network of established higher education institutions and individual academics and graduate students whose goal is to provide a forum for those researching in the broad social economy, including the areas of social and solidarity economy, social enterprise, social entrepreneurship and social innovation.

About Us

SERNI is a voluntary network of academics and graduate students working in the areas of social and solidarity economy, social enterprise, social entrepreneurship and social innovation. It aims to be a key resource for any serious study of the social economy in Ireland, and to contribute to a greater understanding of the Irish social economy and its constituent sectors, and to place it in a broader comparative perspective.
